Notes
The direction of writing on page 1 is upside down to that on page 2, i.e. the sheet
should be turned over the long side; characteristically long downstrokes of individual final letters,
some of which end with a check mark — black — Uyghur script → Square script — paper — Buddhist text. Due to a suspected shared manuscript
U 2047 could be a text section from the beginning of an Old Uighur version of the <I>Shiwangjing</I>
present. The content determination has not yet been completed. difficulties
also prepares the interpretation of pagination. The double punctuation in line
/Page01/05/ and the following sā dʰū in Brāhmī script indicate the end of one
text or section of text. I owe the Brāhmī reading quoted to D. Maue.
