Šihāb ad-Dīn Abu-'l-ʿAbbās Aḥmad b. died in Cairo in 1632. Muḥammad b. Ahmad al-Maqqarī
al-Mālikī (EI2 VI/187-188; GAL II/296-297 S II/407-408; Kaḥḥāla II/78-79; Ziriklī
I/237) from the time when he was in Damascus and guest of the scholar Aḥmad
aš-Šāhīnī was (1037/1628). It is also stated how it came about that the latter al-Maqqarī,
with whom he soon became friends, quartered in a ḥuǧra of the Madrasa al-Čaqmaqīya,
where he taught (since around 1594).

f. 173b: Abu Abbas Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Abi Yahya bin Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al-Aish bin Muhammad said:
Al-Muqri Al-Tilmisani...may God have mercy on him, he was a miracle in the science of theology and doctrine and a marvelous miracle in literature.
Lectures and a wealth of information in other archives. Then this is the one I mentioned among his descriptions, may God Almighty have mercy on him.
He is a drop from a sea and a pearl from a necklace - f. 181b: On two-thirds and seven thousand, the Hijrah was followed by two rainwaters, upon which were offered the most pure prayers to be taken advantage of. With them we hope for a quick life and a good conclusion.
