Adapazarı district, located in the western part of the Anatolian part, is surrounded by the administrative borders of Hendek and Akyazı districts from the east, Kandıra and Karasu districts from the north, Kocaeli central district from the west and Geyve district from the south, and the natural borders of Dinsiz water, Yavaş water, Sakarya, Yanık stream, Samanlı mountain and Keremali mountain. It is surrounded and its surface area is 760 square kilometers.
