"British Detention Camp, in front of the British Officers Provincial building. Ankara (Asia Minor) Turkey No:1" is written on the postcard in English. On the back of the postcard, "Published by the "Geneva International Committee of the Red Cross"" is written. Detainees, Camps: Turkey No: 1". - In early December 1919, two companies of British soldiers, including a British Captain named Vitol, came to Ankara by train and first captured the station and then the whole city, and used the Provincial building as a detention center.
