Notes	The four-year election periods of the Provincial General Assemblies end at the beginning of September this year. For this reason, it is necessary to renew the general assembly elections in our provinces in August. The basis of the provisions regarding the election of Provincial General Assemblies is included in the section of the General Provincial Law on Special Administrations that is in force today. According to these provisions, the election was in two stages. Secret ballot and public classification, which constitute the basis of democratic election principles, were not taken into consideration in this law. Moreover, since the members of the Municipal Councils were also included in the second voters in the last parliamentary elections that would elect the members of the Provincial General Assembly, the people of the cities and districts were in a privileged position compared to the village people, as they cast their votes both through their second voters and through the members of the municipal council.
