Last meeting minutes summary
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, 9.6.1953 at 15:00 under the chairmanship of President Hulusi Köymen.
As a result of the poll, it was understood that there was a majority, so the combination was opened.
1- The summary of the minutes of the last meeting was read.
As the presentation of the Presidency Council, in the commission that will organize the Group's work, »The names of F. Fikri Düşünsel and Esat Budakoğlu, who were determined by the Board of Directors to replace the Members who left with the Ministry duty, were presented to the group. Moving on to the items.
2- The joint opinion of İçel Deputy Salih İnankur and his friends about not holding the by-elections this year was read. It was decided to postpone the by-elections by voting.
3- On the third item of the agenda, Kırşehir Deputy Osman Bölükbaşı and Giresun Deputy A.Hikmet Pamukoglu and Zonguldak Deputy
Abdurrahman Boyacıgiller jointly with B.M.M. The explanations were read about what they gave and what the evidence was for the Prime Minister's statement made in Kırşehir speech without mentioning any evidence or basis that the rights and freedoms were guaranteed. State Minister Celal Yardimci took the floor and explained the reasons surrounding the rejection of the approval, and then requested the rejection of the approval. It was decided to reject the allegation by majority vote.
Again, the memorandum of appeal given by Kırşehir Deputy Osman Bölükbaşı, which included the accusation that the Nation Party used religion as a tool for politics and the request to show the evidence and basis of the statement made by the Prime Minister and published on the radio and newspapers, and which was submitted to the Presidency of the Parliament, was read. Minister of State Celal Yardimci took the floor. At the end of his speech, it was presented to the general public and it was decided by the majority to reject the allegation.
In the third article, negotiations started on the report on the principles jointly prepared by the General Administrative Board and the Group Administrative Board regarding the recovery of illegitimate property acquisitions by political parties, and the 232-signed memorandum of Antalya Deputy Akif Sarıoğlu and his friends. Some of the Members of Parliament who took the floor on this issue spoke, and the explanations of Chairman Adnan Mederes, who also took the floor, were listened to.
Due to the delay in time and the fact that there were 7 more MPs who took the floor to speak, the meeting was terminated to be held on the Tuesday following the Eid holiday.
