Last meeting minutes
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, December 11, 1958, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of the Group Deputy, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit. A roll call was made; As it was seen that the majority was present, the session was opened. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
We moved on to the questions section of the list.
The question paper of Kastamonu Deputy Münif İslâmoğlu, which constitutes the first article, was read from the Minister of Health about the disease that resulted in death in Kastamonu and Diyarbakır areas; Deputy of Health Lütfü Kırdar made an explanation. The questioner and some deputies took the floor and expressed their opinions. and they made wishes. Thus, the question was answered.
The second item of the questions is Konya Deputy Halil Özyörük's | A question paper was read from the Deputy of the Courthouse about the reason for the acquittal of Merzuka Akçam, who was convicted of smuggling cocaine from Ankara to Beirut, and the proceedings of the trial; Deputy Courthouse Esad Budakoğlu stated that the court was ongoing and therefore it was not possible to give further explanations. Following this, the questioner, Halil Özyörük, declared at the end of his speech that he took back his question. Some deputies declared that they agreed with this question. It was declared that questioning approvals could not be accepted by the Presidency in accordance with the existing regulations and practices, but that questioning approvals could be accepted in accordance with Article 159 of the Internal Regulation, and that it was within the authority of the delegation to promise a new practice or not. After the discussions, the proposal that a member of the Group could answer the question, if the question was taken back by the questioner in the general meeting, was accepted by a vote.
Negotiations continued after Sudi Mıhçıoğlu and Burhanettin Onat answered this question. Some deputies took the floor and expressed their opinions. After the explanation given by the Deputy of the Courthouse, the question was answered. The third item on the agenda, constituting the oral question of Izmir Deputy İlhan Sipahioğlu, was read from the Minister of Industry regarding what he thought about the Coal Distribution Establishment and the difficulties that the public has experienced recently and its disposal. Deputy of Industry Sebati Ataman made the necessary explanation. The questioner took the floor and expressed his thanks and some wishes. Some other deputies spoke on the same subject. Thus, the question was answered.
Since there was no other item to be discussed on the agenda, the meeting was finalized to be held on Thursday, December 18, 1958 at 15:00.
