Summary of last meeting minutes
D.P. The General Assembly of the Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, 6.1.1953 at 15 o'clock under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Osman Kapani.
The meeting was opened as it was determined that there was a majority by polling.
1. The summary of the minutes of the last meeting was read.
2. As the presentation of the Presidency, the proposal of Izmir Deputy Pertev Arat, dated 1.1.1953, regarding the election of neighborhood councils of elders not being held in February but being moved to another date, was considered in principle.
3. It was decided that the proposal of Gümüşane Deputy A.Kemal Varınca, dated 9.9.1952, regarding the establishment of a new ministry of local administrations, should be submitted to the said commission to be examined in the Group Internal Affairs Specialization Commission. The proposals of Konya Deputy A.Fahri Ağaoğlu and his friends, dated 6.6.1952, regarding the amendment of the divorce and filiation provisions of the civil law, were decided to be submitted to the Ministry of Justice. After the scientific committee report from the Ministry was reviewed, the proposal given by Çankırı Deputy Celal Boynuk regarding the submission of this issue to the Group was accepted.
5. Manisa Deputy Şemi Ergin's oral question from the Minister of Health, dated 2.5.1952, was dropped because the questioner was not present for the second time.
6. Samsun Deputy Muhittin Özkefeli's oral question dated 9.10.1952 was discussed. Various speakers expressed their opinions. It was answered by the Minister of Public Works on behalf of the government and the questioner expressed his opinion.
7. Kayseri Deputy İsmail Berkok, Trabzon Deputy M.Reşit Tarakçıoğlu «Erzurum Deputy Memiş Yazıcı, Kastamonu Deputy Şükrü Kerimzade, Afyonkarahisar Deputy Ali İhsan Sabis and Istanbul Deputy A.Hamdi Başar were not present, so the discussion of their questions and proposals was left to the next meeting.
Due to the delay, the meeting was terminated to be held on Tuesday, 13.1*1953 at 15 o'clock.
