The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, November 27, 1958, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of the Group Deputy, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit.
A roll call was made; Seeing that there is a majority present, the hearing
opened.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
As a presentation, it was submitted to the general assembly that the leadership should hold a meeting with the participation of the Group Executive Board, the General Assembly, the President and Deputy Presidents of the Assembly, and the President and Deputy Presidents of the Council, in order to determine the spokespersons who will speak in the ongoing issue and Budget negotiations and to provide them with the necessary materials.
Moving on to the questions:
Kastamonu Deputy Münif İslâmoğlu, who constitutes the first article, has been suffering from tuberculosis, pleurosis, peritonitis and adenitis for eight years. and a verbal question was read from the Deputy of National Defense about the diagnosis of general weakness, how many soldiers receive air change annually and their treatments. Deputy of National Defense Ethem Menuores gave the necessary explanation. The questioner Münif İslâmoğlu spoke and the question was answered.
In the second article, Bursa Deputy Agah Erozan's verbal question from the Minister of Education about what is thought about the creation of an education tax in order to carry out our education affairs without any interruption was removed from the agenda because the questioner was not present for the second time.
The oral questions of Tekirdağ Deputy Ali Çakır and his 10 friends, which constituted the third article, were read from the Deputy of National Defense regarding the reason for not giving seniority raise to the members of the 9th replacement unit sent to Korea; Deputy of National Defense Ethem Menderes gave the necessary explanation. Nevşehir Deputy Hasan Hayati Ülkün, one of the questioners, took the floor and stated that the explanation was satisfactory; The question has been answered.
Since there was no other item to be discussed on the agenda, the meeting was concluded at 15:00 on Thursday, December 4, 1953.
