Notes
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, May 22, 1958, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of the group's Deputy, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit.
I- Attendance was made; The session was opened when it was seen that the majority was present. II- The minutes of the last meeting were read and dismissed. Erzurum Deputy Münip Özer, who wanted to speak outside the agenda, stated to the citizens who came to the Parliament to see the deputies and to those who wanted to follow the Parliament deliberations that he had witnessed some of the People's Party Deputies making provocative statements, and expressed his hope that this issue would be rearranged*
After that, the questions started.
1- The oral report of Kastamonu Deputy Süleyman Çağlar, dated 7/4/1958, and the Minister of Commerce regarding the increase in the prices of construction materials and timber was read. The questioner and some deputies expressed their opinions on this issue. After the detailed explanations of the Minister of Commerce Abdullah Aker and the Deputy of Agriculture Nedim Ökmen and our Prime Minister, the question was answered.
The question of Çorum Deputy Hüseyin Ortakçıoğlu, which was on the second item of the agenda, was discussed, and the questioner and Trade Deputy Abdullah Aker spoke on this subject, and thus the question was answered.
The third item on the agenda, the oral questions of the Giresun Deputies dated 2/5/1958 from the Industry Deputy about rubber shoes and the fact that they have recently been put on the market in low quality and whether the attorney had any information on this matter, was postponed to the next hearing as there was no attorney present.
Kastamonu Deputy Dr. in the 4th item of the agenda. Şükrü Esen's oral question, dated 5/5/953, was read from the Deputy Minister of Communications about the inadequacy of the Cide-Kastamonu and İnebolu highways and buses, and therefore the communication was mostly carried out by sea, but İnebolu could not benefit from this, and whether the establishment of an intermediate post there was considered. The questioner and the attorney talked about this issue and the question was answered.
The fifth item of the agenda was moved on; Trabzon Deputy Osman Turan's oral question dated 22/1/1958 from the Minister of Foreign Affairs about the Cyprus issue and the situation of Türkiye and British politics was read. • Various orators took the floor on this issue and made some wishes. Following the detailed explanation of the Deputy of Foreign Affairs Fatih Rüştü Zorlu, the question was answered.
