The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, November 13, 1958, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of the Group Chairman, Yozgad Deputy Atıf Benderlioğlu.
A roll call was made. It was seen that the majority was present and the session was convened.

It was stated by the Chief that Niğde Deputy Ali Gürün and Urfa Deputy Ömer Yükselen from the People's Party resigned and joined the Democratic Party and were present at the hearing.
Following this, Urfa Deputy Ömer Yüksel and Niğde Deputy Ali Gürün made a speech. • Both of them were greeted with enthusiastic cheers and applause. • The election of Group Deputies, which constitutes the third item on the agenda, was started. As a result of the classification, it was understood that Bursa Deputy Mazlum Kaya was elected with 183 votes and Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit was elected by filling the quorum with 178 votes, while the other candidates were not able to fill the quorum.
Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit, who was elected as Group Deputy, came to the podium and expressed his gratitude to the Group General Assembly.
Following this, the fourth item of the agenda was the Group Management competence election. In the first round, it was understood that Çorum Deputy Kemal Biberoğlu, Kastamonu Deputy Hilmi Dura, 202 votes, Isparta Deputy Kemal Demiralay, Sakarya Deputy Selâmi Dinçer, 177 and Konya Deputy Osman Bibioğlu, filled the quorum with 176 votes, while the other candidates could not fill the quorum.
The second round was held; It was understood that in this round, Muş Deputy Şefik Çağlayan received 186 votes, Bursa Deputy Hüseyin Bayri received 179 votes and Giresun Deputy Hamdi Bozbağ received 160 votes and thus filled the quorum.
Since it was late and it was observed that there was no majority, the meeting was concluded at 10 o'clock on Friday, November 14, 1958, and it was decided to continue the elections.
