The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Sunday, April 24, 1956, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of Haluk Şaman.

One of the two testimonials given before proceeding to the list: The declaration of Zonguldak Deputy Edibe Sayar, who stated that (8) citizens died and (60) were injured as a result of the firedamp explosion in the Zonguldak Ereğli coal mine area, and offered to express her condolences to the families of the deceased and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, on behalf of our Group, was read. Upon the explanation given by the businesses' representative, the owner withdrew his approval.
The second statement is; It was proposed that Tokad Deputy Ömer Sunar's approval in the 13th article of today's ruzname be included in the first article and discussed first. It was put to the vote. It was decided that the proposal constituting the first article would be discussed following the discussion, as the delegation had already approved the proposal by general decision.
3- The list was started. The joint approval of Istanbul deputy Necmi Ateş and Tekirdağ deputy Samim Yücedere was postponed to the next meeting since there were no relevant deputies.
4- The approval of Tokad Deputy Ömer Sunar, dated 22/11/1955, regarding the continuation of the Parliament and the Council's working hours was discussed. The questioner and various speakers expressed their ideas and opinions. Eventually; The joint approval of Seyhan deputy Mehmet Ünaldı, Konya deputy Muammer Obuz, and Zonguldak deputy Sabih Duralı, regarding the request from the Parliamentary Presidency to implement the provisions of the Internal Regulations regarding the absent deputies, was accepted and other articles were moved on.
5- The amendments constituting articles 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 of the Schedule were postponed to the next meeting as there were no authors of the amendments.
6- The questions in Articles 14, 16, 21 and 22 of the Schedule were postponed to the next meeting since there were no relevant Deputies.
7- Konya Deputy Hidayet Aydıner's proposal to assign the preparation of the New Constitution to the university was discussed. The proposer and various orators expressed their opinions. In this regard, the Deputy of the Court of Justice explained the government's opinion.
8- Afyon deputy Kemal Özçoban's D.P. dated 4/12/1955. The question of the outcome of the Parliamentary Group Presidency Council was discussed. After the questioner and other speakers took the floor, the Presidency explained the Group Executive Board's opinion on this issue. After the speeches of the questioner and other orators, two proposals with the same meaning regarding the sufficiency of the discussion were accepted. Discussion of the issue has been completed.
9- Deputy of Public Works answered the question of Gaziantep deputy Süleyman Kuranel and his friends. The questioner spoke. The negotiation of the bill has been completed.
Since there was no other item to be discussed in the list and Tuesday, May 1st was a public holiday, the meeting was finalized on Thursday, May 3rd at 15:00.
