Last meeting minutes
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, January 15, 1959, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of Bursa Deputy Mazlum Kayalar.
By polling, it was determined that the majority was present. and the session was opened. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The questions started;
Statements of the same nature as those in Articles 1, 2 and 6 of the Ruzname were proposed and accepted by the Reis and their amnematic negotiations.
Tekirdağ Deputy Zeki Erataman and Çorum Deputy Hüseyin Ortakçıoğlu asked questions of the same nature regarding some of the appropriation and salary increase proposals that have put burdens on our Budget in recent days, and Manisa Deputy Sezai Akdağ asked how much expenses were reflected in last year's budget with the proposals of our Government and Members of Parliament, and what measures the Deputy of Finance is considering in the face of expense proposals made without any compensation. Following the reading of the question paper, Deputy Finance Minister Hasan Polatkan gave the necessary explanations. After the speeches of some deputies, Prime Minister Adnan Menderes took the floor and made a detailed explanation. Since the incident had developed and the tendency to consider the expense proposals in the light of the Group negotiations was detected, there was no need for a decision and the recommendations given on this issue were withdrawn.
The 3rd and 4th articles of the Ruzname were started; Since the proposals in these articles are of the same nature, the management proposed that they be negotiated together and the offer was accepted. However, since the questioners were not present at the hearing, their discussions were postponed until the future.
The oral question paper from the Deputy of Health on the subject of Adıyaman Deputy Sırrı Turanlı's specialist staff of Adıyaman State Hospital, which constitutes the fifth article of the list, was read; Deputy of Health and Social Welfare Lütfi Kırdar gave the necessary explanation, and following the speech of the questioner Sırrı Turanlı, the question was answered.
The joint negotiations of Articles 7 and 8 of the Regulation, which are of the same nature, were proposed and accepted by the Presidency. Trabzon Deputy Osman Nuri Lermioğlu's questions about the news published in Ulus Newspaper dated 12/12/1958 about the Customs treatment of a D.P. Deputy, and Sinop Deputy Ömer Özen's questions from the Deputy of Customs and Exemptions regarding the customs treatment of Gazianteb Deputy Ali Şahin were read; After the explanation of the Deputy of Customs and Exemptions, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit, who spoke on behalf of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group Executive Committee, read the investigation report made by the Group on this issue. After a few other deputies spoke, the question was answered.
Due to the delay, the meeting was concluded on Thursday, January 22, 1959, at 15:00.
