The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, January 24, 1956, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of Muzaffer Kurbanoğlu.
1- Attendance was made. Since it was seen that there was a majority, the session was opened.
2- Last Meeting Minutes were read.
3- Presidency Council Presentations;
7,8,9 of the Group Schedule of Kocaeli Deputy Selami Dinçer and Kastamonu Deputy Ali Muzaffer Tanöver dated Tuesday, January 17, 1956. Two memorandums stating that they retracted the questions constituting the articles were read and their opinions were presented to the group. Reis, in his presentation statements; He declared that the proposal of the chairman of the council, Rize Deputy Osman Kavrakoğlu, to explain to the group the reason why Maraş Deputy Abdullah Aytemiz was not invited to the joint Dignity Council meetings dated 12/01/1956, was notified to the General Assembly, and that the answers would be presented to our next group.
4- Rize Deputy Kemal Balta took the floor. Considering the importance of Izmir Deputy Pertev Arat's statement about Istanbul Deputy Mükerrem Sarol in the 12th article of the list, he proposed to discuss it as the first article and gave a recommendation. Petrev Arat, the owner of the report, took the floor. At the last meeting, he asked for the discussion of the proposal to open a parliamentary investigation against former state representative Mükerrem Soral, which was included in the registry by the decision of the General Assembly and constitutes the 12th article of today's registry, in preference to other articles, and he also gave an approval.
Thereupon, Group President Burhanettin Onat took the floor; It was stated that in the determination of the list, the amendments containing the first and subsequent articles were long before Pertev Arat's declaration and required it to be placed first, that they were related to the same issues in foreign policy, that the articles of the schedule were never presented or postponed with other lists, and that the decision regarding Mükerrem Soral was brought to the agenda and when it should be discussed belonged to the high delegation.
Many orators expressed their opinions and views on the procedure and principles on this issue. As a result, the proposals that the proposal should not be discussed in the group and should be processed in the General Assembly Committee were accepted. Pertev Arat's statement on this matter was removed from the list.
5- The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke on foreign issues. Meanwhile, Group Leader Burhanettin Onat occupied the Presidency. Many scholars and orators spoke on this subject. Subsequently, the Prime Minister made a detailed explanation. The proposal regarding the discussion of internal issues at the next meeting, with the postponement of negotiations on external issues, was accepted.
Due to the lateness of the time, the meeting was concluded on Tuesday, January 31, 1956, at 15:00.
