Last meeting minutes summary
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, May 26, 1953, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Abidin Potuoğlu.
The meeting was opened as it was understood that there was a majority by polling.
1- The summary of the minutes of the last meeting was read.
Off the agenda, the statements given by Antalya Deputy Akif Sarıoğlu and his 232 friends regarding the illegitimate property acquisitions of Political Parties were read. This proposal will be put on the agenda next Tuesday and the principle decisions on this matter, which are being prepared by the General Administrative Board and the Group Management Board, will be discussed on the said day,
The proposal of the Presidency Council to make a decision regarding night work by the Group was discussed and it was decided that night work was not appropriate.
2- In the second item of the agenda, Tekirdağ Deputy Şevket Mocan's question to the Prime Minister was left to the next meeting since he and the Prime Minister were not present.
3- In the 3rd article, Tokad Deputy Sıtkı Atanç's question from the Party or Group Chairman was left to the next meeting as he was not present.
4- In the 4th article, Diyarbakır Deputy Ferit Alpiskender's question to the Prime Minister was left to the next meeting since the Prime Minister was not present.
5- In the 5th article, Çoruh Deputy Zihni Ural's question from the Ministers of Public Works and Internal Affairs was discussed. The Minister answered. The questioner spoke. Discussion of the issue has been completed.
6- In Article 6, Army Deputy Refet Aksoy's oral question from the Prime Minister was left to the next meeting since the Prime Minister and the questioner were not present.
7- In the 7th article, Erzurum Deputy Fehmi Çobanoğlu's oral question from the Deputy of National Defense was discussed. The Minister answered. The questioner and a friend spoke. Discussion of the issue has been completed.
In article 8-8, Erzurum Deputy Memiş Yazıcı withdrew his oral question from Various Ministries.
9- In the 9th article, Zonguldak Deputy Muammer Alakant's oral question from the Group Chairman was read. The reason why the instructions regarding Group Studies have not been prepared yet was stated by the head of acquittal. Konya Deputy A.Fahri Ağaoğlu gave an explanation about the amendment of the internal regulations.
Following the speech of the questioner Muammer Alakant, it was deemed appropriate to invite the chairman of the commission, Izmir Deputy Zühtü Hilmi Velibeşe, to the next meeting to give a more detailed explanation on this issue and to leave the question to the next meeting to listen to the explanation he will give about the commission's work.
