Notes Summary of the minutes of the extraordinary meeting of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group. Following the communiqué dated 15.7.1953 published by the C.H. Party, the Assembly Group was invited to an extraordinary meeting by the Group Presidency Council on Thursday, 16.7.1953 at 10.30, and the Assembly Group convened under the chairmanship of Group Chairman Hulusi Köymen on the said day and time, and after it was determined that the majority was present, the meeting was opened, Minister of Foreign Affairs and General Assembly member Fuad Köprülü took the floor. and expressed the opinion of the General Assembly on the C.H. Party notification, which will be the subject of discussion in the extraordinary meeting. Following the long explanation of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, we will meet again at 16:00. The session ended at 14 o'clock. At 16:00, the second session was opened under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Abidin Potuoğlu, and the negotiations continued and many Members of Parliament spoke, following which the Prime Minister gave a detailed explanation again. As a result: 1- Criminal sanctions containing strong and necessary elements against real and legal persons who use religion as a tool for politics, 2- Establishing clear and explicit legal sanctions against those who want to turn people against each other in political struggles and spread hatred and hostility among huge masses of people, 3- The introduction of new legal principles that will completely eliminate the opportunity for university professors to deal with daily politics outside the field of science, This issue was decided by consensus and the merger was terminated by accepting the principle that the draft laws on this issue should be prepared by the Government.
