Summary of minutes from the last session:
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, May 10, 1955, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of Abidin Potuoğlu.
As a result of the poll, it was understood that there was a majority, so the session was opened.
1- The minutes of the last session were read.
2- D.P. The three-month account balance sheet of the Parliamentary Group Board of Directors was read and approved as is.
3- As the presentation of the Group Administrative Board, upon the decision of the Group to obtain the opinion of the General Administrative Board on the postponement of the municipal elections, in the meeting held jointly by the General Administrative Board and the Group Administrative Board, a consensus was reached on the postponement of the municipal elections, and after listening to Fuat Köprülü's explanation on behalf of the General Administrative Board, various orators spoke.
The Prime Minister gave a detailed explanation on this issue.
The postponement of municipal elections was accepted by a large majority.
4- Zonguldak deputy Hüseyin Balık's request to speak outside the agenda was accepted and he spoke. Prime Minister Adnan Menderes answered.
5- Ağrı Deputy Kasım Küfrevi's approval regarding the selection of a commission of 15 people to determine the Group's working style was withdrawn by the author of the proposal.
6- Bursa deputy Agah Erozan; The question about whether Article 61 of the Internal Regulations was complied with in the parliamentary accounts was read.
After the explanation given by the parliamentary accounts auditor Ferit Tüzel and the speech of the questioner Agah Erozan, it was announced by the Presidency that the attention of the Presidency Council of the Assembly would be drawn to this issue and the question was completed.
7- Seyhan deputy Sinan Tekelioğlu's oral question about the incomplete bridge connecting the highway between Gaziantep and Urfa to Berdece via Murat Stream was read. Due to the mistake in the name in the questioner's statement, its discussion was postponed to the next meeting, upon the request of the Public Works Deputy, for a re-examination.
8- Zonguldak deputy Cemal Kipçak's oral question regarding the State Deputy's statement published in Zafer newspaper dated May 2, regarding the establishment of radio stations in our three provinces, was read.
After the detailed explanation given by State Representative Mükerrem Sarol on this issue, various orators and questioners spoke. Question completed.
Due to the late hour, the meeting was terminated on Tuesday, 17/5/1955.
