The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, 5/2/1959 at 15:00 under the Presidency of the Group Chairman, Yozgad Deputy Atıf Benderlioğlu.
A roll call was made and it was determined that the majority was present and the session was opened.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Yozgad Deputy Ömer Erzurumluoğlu; Taking the floor outside the agenda, he stated that the People's Party acted with a partisan mentality in the election of the Council of State and the Council of Accounts President and its members, and made a Group Decision to elect a certain person, and that they voted collectively on the determined candidate, and that the necessary measures should be taken to prevent such movements.
After the speeches of various deputies on this subject; It was not deemed necessary to vote on Ömer Erzurumluoğlu's proposal because it was against the law and because Bolu Deputy İhsan Gülez's proposal was submitted to the council.
Istanbul Deputy Necmi Nuri Yücel, who spoke outside the agenda; He declared that the expropriation debts of the Istanbul Municipality did not have a good impact on public opinion and that this was used as a trump card by the opposition parties, and requested that the Group support the proposal to be made by the Ministry of Finance to add 50 million lira to the aid section of the Ministry of Finance budget in order to ensure that these debts can be paid.
Moving on to the questions:
Sinop Deputy Ömer Özen; Deputy of Agriculture Nedim Ökmen and Deputy of Commerce Hayrettin Erkmen answered the oral question from the Deputy of Commerce and Agriculture about the causes of death of nearly 50 cattle that are rumored to have died in the Atatürk Forest Farm. After the speeches of the questioner and some other deputies, the question was answered.
Samsun Deputy Nüzhet Ulusoy; The oral question from the Ministers of Finance and Internal Affairs regarding the latest raises for civil servants and employees and what kind of income source is envisaged for these administrations if raises are given to those working in municipalities and Special Administrations.
Since he was not present at the hearing, the next hearing was postponed.
