Last meeting minutes
The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Thursday, June 12, 1958 at 15:00 in the Presidency of the Group Deputy, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit.
I- Attendance was made. Seeing that there is a majority present, the hearing
[opened.
II- The minutes of the last meeting were read; Some deputies spoke about the previous record. They expressed their opinions about the meeting held on Tuesday. After the necessary explanations were given to them, the presentations started. During the discussion on whether to hold the 1958 by-elections, the proposals of Bursa Deputy Müfit Erkuyumcu and Istanbul Deputy Hüsamettin Giray, stating that there was no benefit in holding the by-elections since the elections had just been held and it was not possible to change the quorum in the parliamentary party groups of the 10 vacant seats, were voted and accepted.
After that, the questions started; Konya Deputy Abdurrahman Fahri Ağaoğlu's verbal question from the Minister of Foreign Affairs about the Algerian National Liberation Movement and the French policy of destruction and the situation in Türkiye was discussed. The Deputy gave the necessary explanation on this issue. The owner expressed his opinions, thus the question was answered.
In the second item of the agenda, Trabzon Deputy Osman Nuri Lermioğlu's verbal question from the Deputy of Public Works about the construction of a loading dock in Akçaabat and Of Districts of Trabzon, whether the construction is conceivable or not, and if so, the status of the studies, the Deputy of Public Works, Tevfik İleri, gave the necessary answers. The questioner came to the podium and expressed his opinion, and the question was answered.
Muş Deputy Şemsi Ağaoğlu's statement was made stating that he was not present at the majority of the meetings due to the ongoing Cyprus Rally. Since the majority was not present, the session was convened at 15:00 on Thursday, June 19, 1958.
