Extraordinary Disaster Report Summary
The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Wednesday, 6/5/1959 at 16:00 under the Presidency of the Group Chairman, Yozgad Deputy Atıf Benderlioğlu.
A roll call was made and it was determined that the majority was present. The Measures Commission Report was opened and read in the presence of the Group. Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, Deputy of Internal Affairs Namık Gedik and several deputies spoke on the report and the necessary measures to be taken. Due to the events having progressed much more in the time that passed after the report was prepared; It was decided to appoint the Measures Commission, which had previously prepared this report, in order to adjust the measures according to the new situation and to prepare them in the form of a Draft Law and bring them to the meeting to be held on Thursday, May 14, 1959, and the discussion was terminated.
