The General Assembly of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met on Tuesday, June 24, 1958, at 15:00, under the chairmanship of the Group Deputy, Denizli Deputy Baha Akşit.
A roll call was made; Seeing that there is a majority
The session was opened.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Following the presentations, the issue of taking a decision regarding the recess of the Grand National Assembly was discussed; Various orators took the floor and expressed their opinions on this issue •
And they made various offers. The proposals to convene the Parliament again on August 11 and the proposals to hold the meeting on September 1 were not accepted by voting. Since it was obvious that the Parliament could call a meeting in extraordinary circumstances, it was agreed to convene on November 1.
After the extensive and detailed explanations of the Group by Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, who came to the podium several times, the explanations of the Deputy of Foreign Affairs, Fatin Rüştü Zorlu, about the latest situation of the Cyprus issue, and the speeches of the Deputy of Internal Affairs, Namık Gedik, and various deputies, the meeting was to be held at the end of October 1958, as the time was late and there was no other issue to be discussed on the agenda. The session was ended.
