Binding: Pasteboards covered in dark brown leather ; Type II binding (with flap) ; pastedowns and flyleaves in crisp brown paper ; upper and lower covers carry blind-stamped central ornament (diamond-shaped) and cornerpieces (all of scrolls and plumes with vegetal accents), as well as blind rules and stamped vegetal border framing central panel, design continues on flap ; woven, chevron endbands sewn on text block at head and tail ; overall in somewhat poor condition with abrasion, minor delamination at board corners, losses to foredge flap, etc. Title from headpiece at opening on p.2 ; statement of responsibility from t.p. of opening work.. Collective volume of three parts carrying works of Ibn Nujaym (d.1563) (see GAL S II 425), namely his al-Ashbāh wa-al-naẓāʼir (accompanied by commentary of al-Ḥamawī, d.1686 or 7) in two parts, followed by a collection of his smaller treatises compiled by his son Aḥmad and entitled by him al-Fatāwá al-Zaynīyah fī fiqh al-Ḥanafīyah (see opening matter on p.3 of third part).
