Black imitation cloth binding, not original. Laid oriental paper; 22 lines per page. Wormed and damaged in places. Includes some marginal annotations. Rubrications; red overlinings; blue rule-borders. Indian nastaʻlīq hand. Dated in colophon (fol. [40b]) as having been copied in the eighth year of the reign of Muḥammad Shạ̄h Pādshāh Ghāzī (1139/1726 or 7?) by the scribe Ghulām Ahmad walad Muḥammad Wāṣil, sākin Bayānah. An epitome and commentary on the first book of the Canon of Avicenna written in the form of aphorisms (fusūl) and hence usually titled Kitāb al-Fusūl of Īlāqīyah (al-Īlāqī's aphorisms) or Kitāb al-Asbāb wa-al-'alāmāt (The book of causes and symptoms).
