Readers' notes and transmission notes (f. 20r-20v, 22r, 41r-42r, 61r-61v, 63r, 82r-82v, 84r, 103r-104v, 105r, 124r-124v, 126r, 145r-145v, 147r, 166r-167r, 186r-186v). Shelfmark: X893.7 Ib66. Origin: The item is undated, though transmission notes place the copy in the 12th century; the first transmission note says the copy was heard read by the author on 21 Rabīʻ al-Awwal in the Mosque of Damascus in 536 AH (31 October 1141 CE) (f. 20r). Decoration: Titles in larger script. Script: Written in naskh in black ink; mostly unpointed. Layout: 24-26 long lines. Title from title page (f. 1r). Manuscript codex.. Parts 325-333 of the history of the city of Damascus by Ibn ʻAsākir, contains parts of the sections on people with the name ʻUthmān; includes several readers' notes and transmission notes. The leaves have been silked and remounted onto pages measuring 267 x 178 mm.
