Notes Shelfmark: MS Or 462. Origin: Works 3, 5, 6 dated 1241 A.H. (f. 46v, 78v, 97r); works 8 and 9 dated 1245 A.H. (f. 171r); work 10 is dated 983 A.H. (255r); work 11 is undated. Decoration: Rubrications chiefly in red with a few in brown; numerous diagrams in red, black, and brown; some tables in red and black. Script: Chiefly written in nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed; some marginalia in shikastah and some quotations in naskh. Layout: Various layouts, but chiefly written 14-17 long lines. Titles supplied from table of contents pasted into front inside cover or from caption titles. Manuscript codex.. Composite manuscript written in at least three hands and on more than one type of paper containing eight treatises on astronomy and arithmetic with an introduction; diagrams within and between the works. Some of the works are dedicated to Muḥammad Valī Mīrzā, the third son of Fatḥ ʻAlī Shāh Qajar (see for example, f. 171v, 279r).
