Origin: Item is undated; probably copied in the 18th century in India. Decoration: Rubrications in red, some missing. Script: Written in nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed. Layout: 13 long lines; catchwords every verso. Title from added title (f. 1r). Manuscript codex. Formerly owned by Alexander Isaac Cotheal (stamp f. 2r, 451v, second to last flyleaf verso).. Collection of romantic tales in Persian derived from Indian sources. Large areas of text pasted over between f. 405 and 414.
