Notes	Commentary made by Yarangümeli (Tavas) Kureyşi-zâde Mehmed Fevzî Efendi, one of the late Ottoman scholars, on his own work called Kasîde-i Medeniyye. The work named Hasîdetü'n-Nebeviyye Fî Şerhi'l-Kasîdeti'l-Medeniyye was published -as stated by the author- in 1306/1889. It was compiled. Hz. This eulogy written about the Prophet was written in Arabic. Fevzî Efendi expresses the reason for writing the commentary as follows: "A commentary was needed to explain its language, its meaning, its meanings and its signs, so that the reader would know the meaning. Although it was written in an easy language in itself, I wrote this commentary briefly in order not to be boring or to arouse hatred." As can be understood from the statement in question, Fevzî Efendi wants his work called Kasîde-i Medeniyye to be easily understood (Baybara 2007: 76-77). The author starts the work with basmala and praise and then Hz. It talks about some of the characteristics of the Prophet, his miracles, and the Miraj event. Hz.
