Notes
The only known work of Zîrekî from Hamadan. There is no record of the Sufi masnavi mentioned in the biographical sources of the period, Ahdî's Gülşen-i Şu'arâsı and Gelibolulu Âlî's Künhü'l-Ahbârı, in libraries. Zîrekî, known for his mastery of the Persian language and the competence of the poems he wrote in this language, was in demand in the Turkish language and successfully translated the Mihr ü Mâhmesnevi of a poet from Anatolia from Turkish to Persian (Solmaz 2005: 338-339). The poet dedicated his masnavi to Ramazan-zâde Pîrî Çelebi, whose service he entered after coming to Adana (İsen 1994: 224-225). For the biography of the poet, see. "Zîrekî".Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
