Notes Persian advice against sleep written by Abdülvehhâb-ı Hemedânî. Nevâ-yı Horûs was compiled by Abdülvehhâb-ı Hemedânî, who wrote the work titled Sevâkıbu'l-Menâkı (Nevşâhî 1390: 20). The name of the work indicates the year 933/1526-27, which is the year of its publication with abjad calculation. In the work, it is emphasized that it is wrong to sleep enough to neglect the morning prayer through the method of tahkiye. According to the story; The author is awakened from a very deep sleep by a spiritual sign. Obeying the inspired command given to him, he begins to listen to the "rooster" and the "muezzin", whose duties are to wake people up. The rooster and the muezzin complain that people do not wake up despite all their efforts. On this occasion, they continue their conversation by reading some poems appropriate to the topic. But only one person wakes up. Upset by this, the muezzin gives up and leaves, while the rooster waits until the last moment to see when the people will get up. People wake up only for the benefit of the world. He personally witnessed that no one got up to remember Allah and perform the morning prayer. The author says that he wrote this story for the benefit of the brotherhood. The work, written in prose, contains many poems by various poets, apart from the poems of the author who uses the pseudonym Vehhâbî. There are two known copies of Nevâ-yı Horûs. Melik Abdulaziz Ctp in Medina. The copying date and copyist of the copy, which is registered with the inventory number 10 in the Arif Hikmet collection, is unknown (Nevşâhî 1390: 20).
