Notes Lokmân's work in the genre of sîm-nâme, written in Persian in verse and prose. Mainly II. The work, which describes the period of Selim (d. 1574) and was completed on 6 Dhul-Hijjah 988/12 January 1581, contains a verse section of 1615 couplets as well as prose parts. In the introduction of Selim Han-nâme, firstly Allah, Hz. Muhammad and the four caliphs later became Sultan II. Selim, Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha and the state dignitaries were praised, the reason for writing the work was expressed and the main topic was moved on. The reason for writing Selim Han-nâme is that Lokman heard a voice from the unseen, saw Ahmed Nâmî, reached a palace with his guidance, showed the preface he wrote and continued writing the work upon being liked, and that Selim Han-nâme was written by Mevlana. He stated that he wrote it with the inspiration he received from his saintly soul. In Selim Han-nâme, the heroism of the Ottoman sultans and viziers was mentioned, the conquest of Istanbul by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror (d.1481), the structures built after the conquest, the conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque, the construction of the Semâniyye madrasahs and the transformation of Istanbul into a cultural center were explained. In the work, information is also given about the death of Sultan Suleiman and the concealment of his death, the conquest of Zigetvar, visiting the graves, the conquest of the island of Chios, and the Büyükçekmece Bridge. Author II. Selim, four caliphs and Hz. He compared him to Yusuf and touched upon his loyalty, justice, morality and bravery. Author II. He compared Selim to Suleiman the Magnificent and prayed for him. In Selim Han-nâme, written by taking Firdevsî (d. 1020?)'s Shah-nâme as an example, important information was given about the state organization, state institutions, army, navy, weapons, defense and the deployment of the army in war. The work, which was written in a plain and simple language and whose verse part was written in masnavi style, included Arabic words, terms and expressions, verses and hadiths, enigmas and lessons. There are two manuscript copies of the work, one of which is registered in the Topkapı Palace Museum (nr. 1537; nr. 3595) and the other in the British Library. The British Library copy contains 9 miniatures and III. There are 44 miniatures in the Topkapı Palace Museum copy presented to Murad II (d. 1595).
