Dîvânçe containing Persian poems of Prince Bâyezîd, one of the sons of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The work is registered at the Millet Library, Ali Emîrî Efendi (Persian Department), number 330. The poems in the Dîvânçe are also among the pages 90b-97b of Şâhî's Turkish Dîvânçe (Kılıç 2000). Copied by Hâşim el-Mekkî in 1334/1915. The work includes 17 ghazals, 3 verses (dübeyt), and 7 mufreds (Kılıç 2000: 61-62). In Şâhî's poems, a simple style that is free from burdensomeness prevails. Following the classical tradition, the poet writes about divine and human love, beloved, aghyar, struggle with rivals, reproach to fate, complaints about time, etc. An article about Şâhî's Persian Dîvânçe was published by Mustafa Çiçekler (1998). Two more academic publications were made on the poet's Turkish and Persian poems in 2000, one as a master's thesis and the other as a book study (Gül 2000, Kılıç 2000). For the poet's biography, see.
