Commentary on Mevlana's Mesnevi written in Persian by İdrîs-i Bitlîsî on behalf of Suleiman the Magnificent (Kaska, 2020: 153; Akçay 2021). A copy of Şerh-i Mesnevi-i Ma'nevî is available in Tehran, Dânişgâh, It is registered at number 4029 (Başaran 2000: 34; Yıldırım 2010: XLIV). In his master's study on İdrîs-i Bitlîsî's work called Heşt Bihişta, Vural Genç did not include Şerh-i Mesnevî-i Ma'nevî among the author's works (2007). Additionally, Hicabi Kırlangıç (1995) and Bahattin Yalçın Hatunoğlu (1998: 5) did not mention this comment in their studies. It is not known exactly when the work was written. However, considering the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent (September 30, 1520 - September 7, 1566) and the year of Idrîs-i Bitlisî's death (1521 or 1523), which are among the strongest possibilities, it can be said that the work was written between the end of 1520 and 1523. In the studies examined, no data regarding the volume of the commentary could be found. No independent study regarding Şerh-i Mesnevi-i Ma'nevî could be identified.
