Notes
A prose work written by the author to show the intertwined nature of Sufism with the Quran and the hadith and to introduce those who follow it to the hadith. In the studies that started from the second century of Hijri, Hz. It is seen that among the narrations coming from the Prophet, forty hadiths started to be memorized and their contents were compiled for the purpose of application in life. In this context, Hâmid-i Velî wrote the treatise named Şerhu'l-Erbaîn Hadîsen. There are many manuscript copies of the work in Arabic, and the copy used for this article is located in H. Hulusi Ateş Darende Şeyhzadeoğlu Private Library, number 367. At the beginning of the work, it is noted that Allah is unique and that Him and His Messenger must be obeyed. It includes the verses that attract the attention and the introduction of the propagation of authentic hadiths against the oppression of the oppressor. Because of the hadiths aimed at revitalizing the Sunnah and strengthening the faith, the author, Hz. He states that it is obligatory for people who have received the Prophet's hadiths to convey them to others. He then explains the reason for preparing his work. Accordingly, he says that he created the collection of forty hadiths after a virtuous person, for whom it was essential to fulfill his request, asked him to carry out such a study in order to benefit both himself and those who will care for him. In all of the hadiths, it is emphasized that a person should consider the divine will throughout his life, stay away from worldly goals and behave with good morals. In a significant part of the hadiths compiled by Hâmid-i Veli, besides the apparent meaning. The comments made from the point of view we call ishari are remarkable. Hâmid-i Veli gave the lesson to be learned from the hadiths he mentioned in this work under the title of "share". Some issues stand out in these comments. To give a few examples: Attaining happiness in both worlds depends on good intentions and deeds and piety (1, 13, 27), the need to present God's right to everything (3), the cause of faith will be proven by emptying the heart of unnecessary things and adorning it with worship (10), the importance of continuing to worship consistently (18), the necessity of fasting by staying away from all worldly and otherworldly desires (21), Earning halal sustenance is the beginning of everything (24), and it is necessary to be friends with good people (30). Hâmid-i Velî, who goes beyond the apparent meanings of the hadiths and brings Sufi interpretations, reflects both the Sufi experience gained over the years and continues the tradition of ishari interpretation. He says that if a person is a good servant, the light of Allah Almighty will be revealed to the servant (6), he interprets the verse in the Surah Al-i Imran, which is about jihad, by indulging in worship and enduring the soul (11), and while explaining the seven classes that will be shaded in the shadow of Allah, he expresses the status of a Muslim in the positions of hafa and akhfa (12).
