Notes The work belongs to the Iranian poet Kâşifî, who is estimated to have come to Istanbul during the reign of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. Halil İnalcık emphasized the possibility that the work, whose copyright date is not known exactly, may have been written in 860-61/1456, based on the historical information in it (2000: 111). The text, which has 1053 couplets according to the missing copy at hand, was written in the aruz "fe'ûlün fe'ûlün fe'ûlün fe'ûl" form and in mesnevi verse form. The only copy of Gazâ-nâme-i Rûm, one of the oldest examples of gazavatname, is in Istanbul University Rare Works Library, Persian Manuscripts Department, no. It is registered in F-1388 under the name Tevârîh-i Âl-i Osmana. However, this name used in the record is not correct (Esmail 2005: 2-3). Kâşifî, Gazâ-nâme-i Rûm'u, Sultân II. He presented it to Murad and dedicated it to Prince Mehmed during his lifetime. He started his mesnevi, which he wrote with the encouragement of Ahmed Pasha, with a long prayer and prayer, and then continued with the praise of Fatih Sultan Mehmed. Sultan Mehmed II.
