Notes
The work was written in Persian by Cem Sultan. According to İsmail Hikmet Ertaylan (1951: 241), Cem Sultan, who has two Divans, one in Turkish and one in Persian, is more skilled in writing poetry in Persian. His Persian Dîvân is also evidence of his mastery (Kut 1993: 286). This work contains 3 odes, 262 ghazals, 91 stanzas and 6 syllabuses. The themes of love, separation, longing for the homeland and despair predominate in the ghazals in which he proved his mastery (Tokmak 1380: 65-66). There are many copies of the Dîvân. Most of these copies are included in the Turkish Divan (Ertaylan 1951: 240). Ertaylan published the Bursa Orhan Haraççı (E6) copy as a facsimile edition together with the Turkish Dîvân (1951). Abdurrahman Naci Tokmak made a corrected study based on the Topkapı Palace (Revan 739), Süleymaniye (Fatih 3794) and Haraccioğlu (913) copies of the Dîvân. (1380).
