Notes	The work was prepared based on Nâsıreddîn Tûsî's famous "Bîst Bâb Der Marifet-i Usturlâb". The work, consisting of 20 chapters, was completed in 1285/1868. In the work, the features and usage of the astrolabe, a multi-purpose astronomy instrument whose main function is to determine the position of the stars, are mentioned. The only authorial manuscript of Şerh-i Usturlab is preserved in the Manuscripts Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (Nəvvab, Б-7549). At the end of the manuscript, there are Nawab's explanations in Persian about some historical events. This part of the manuscript is important for researching the socio-cultural and political life of Karabakh in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We also come across additions made at the end of the copy by the Nawab's relatives after his death. The last of such additions is the statements of Shamil Sadikov, the Nawab's grandson (his daughter's son), dated 1948. In the statements in question, the personality and scientific level of the Nawab are mentioned. No study has been done on Şerh-i Usturlab and the work has not been published.
