Notes	Ahmadi's Persian ode in which he explains the rules of Arabic syntax. Mi'yârü'l-Edeb, which consists of a total of 170 couplets, was written with the aruzunfâ'ilâtün fâ'ilâtün fâ'ilâtün fâ'ilün meter. The only known copy of the poem is registered in Konya Mevlana Museum Library, Specialization Department, number 2524/4. Mi'yârü'l-Edeb, Bedâyi'ü's-Sihr fî-Sanâyi'i'ş-Şi'r, Mirkâtü'l-Edeb and Mîzânü'l-Edeb together with Ahmed b. It is in the magazine copied by Hâcı Mahmûd el-Aksarâyî on 22 Ramadan 835/24 May 1432. It is not known exactly for whom and when Mi'yârü'l-Edeb was written. However, the information in the magazine in which it is included suggests that Mi'yârü'l-Edeb may have been written for Îsâ Bey's son, Hamza Bey, just like Mirkâtü'l-Edeb and Mîzânü'l-Edeb (Temizel 2002: 289, 292-293). Mi'yârü'l-Edeb, praise be to Allah and praise the Prophet. After five couplets containing prayers and greetings to the Prophet, the science of syntax begins with the transfer of information about words and sentences and their parts. There are 29 topics related to syntax in the poem. At least 2 and at most 13 couplets are allocated to each of these, different from each other. The topics explained in Persian in Mi'yârü'l-Edeb are explained by strengthening them with examples of Arabic words or sentences. While the topics are being explained, sometimes couplets or interludes, with advice encouraging good morals, studying and learning science, and encouraging compliments to the students are also included (Temizel 2002: 293-295).
