Notes Sinan Efendi's work in which he discusses the etiquette of the sect and the concept of devran. In Rirsâle fi Devrâni's-Sûfiyye, as in his other two works (Risale-i Tahkikiyye, Risale Der Hakk-ı Zikir ve Devran), Sünbül Sinan Efendi defends that cehri dhikr practices such as sema, vecd and zikrullah are halal. While making his defense, he made explanations by giving examples from the Quran and hadiths to those who interpreted the time of dhikr as a game and entertainment. He responded to those who expressed opposing views by name, one by one; He tried to refute the words of the mentioned opponents, especially Sahib-i Bezzaziyye and Sahib-i Pezdeviyye. In addition, he focused on the meanings of the concepts of devran and raks and analyzed both concepts in terms of vocabulary and terminology. In addition to all these, Sünbül Sinan Efendi emphasized that Sufis never intended to compare themselves to the attitudes and actions of infidels. In his work, he stated that their purpose with devran was to resemble the angels who move around the Throne while worshiping God Almighty and the people who circumambulate around the Kaaba. The work, which has a small volume, consists of fourteen pages. The work is in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish and is located in the Veliyüddin Efendi Collection, file number 3602, in the Beyazıt Manuscripts Library. There are also copies in the Rare Works section of the Istanbul Central Library, number 3783, and in the last section of the book Risale-i Tahkikiyye, number 1434 of the Suleymaniye Library. Sünbül Sinan Efendi first preached there after the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque was built. In addition, he gave sermons in Hagia Sophia and Fatih mosques and performed Halveti Devran after the sermons. It is understood from his treatises that he wrote in order to defend the devran and sema practices that he had extensive knowledge in the field of tafsir, hadith and other Sufi sciences. It is understood from the small number of his existing works that he gave importance to expressing his ideas and knowledge verbally rather than written.
