Notes It is a 94-couplet Persian Sufi work written by Şâhidî in mesnevi verse form. Işknâme was written in the fâ'ilâtün mefâ'îlün fa'lün meter. Although it was stated in some manuscripts that Işk-nâme belonged to Mevlânâ or Sultan Veled, Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı stated that the work did not belong to Mevlânâ or Sultan Veled, that the language and style of the work was loose and weak and therefore it belonged to Şâhidî (Gölpınarlı 1983: 140). In this verse work, divine love and the characteristics of divine love. has been mentioned. While explaining love and its qualities, the author benefited from the verses of the Quran, the stories of the prophets and the words of the great Sufis. In Işk-nâme, Hz. To Ali's Zulfikar, Hz. It is said in the Psalms of David that love, which is likened to true pilgrimage and alms, is the goal of every prophet and saint. According to the author, love is Hz. Friend of Moses, Hz. The mountain of Suleiman's heart, the Simurg of Mount Kaf, Hz. The secret of Job's trouble, Hz. The sadness of Jacob, Hz. Abraham's fountain, the meaning of the Holy Quran, Hz. The yeast of Adam's mud is the reason for the existence of everything, the center of everything, the water of life itself. In the work, Hallâc-ı Mansûr, Cüneyd-i Bağdâdî, Bâyezid-i Bistâmî, Gazneli Mahmud, Iyâz, Hz. Names such as Havva are mentioned and their love is mentioned. In addition, it has been declared that love is the blessing of Islam, the light of faith, the door of knowledge, the dear friend of lovers, the secret of Allah, the legacy of prophets, the clothing of saints, the guide of people, the cellar of secrets, the evidence of all wisdom, the hunter of the world's bird, an eternal curtain, the essence and attribute of Allah, both the beginning and the end (Topçu 2009: 58-62). Copies are in the Museum Specialized Library (nr. 002179), Suleymaniye Library Nuru Osmaniye Collection (nr. 005008), Suleymaniye Library Martyr Ali Pasha Collection (nr. 002850), National Library (nr. 06 Mil Yz A 3996), Konya Regional Manuscripts Library (nr. 353). The Işk-nâme was published in 1305/1887 at the Mihran Printing House in Istanbul under the name Şerh-i Işknâme-i Hazreti Bahaüddün Veled. Sultan Veled is shown as the author of the work (Ateş 1968: 118). A master's thesis study was conducted on the work by Mürşide Topçu (2009). For the biography of the poet, see.
