Notes
It is the last divan of the Collection consisting of seven Divans of Ahmed Ibn Veys, the fourth ruler of the Jalayir State, who wrote Persian, Turkish and Arabic poems. Kitâbu Levâmi'i'l-Envâr, 58 ghazals, 9 incomplete ghazals, 1 terci-i bend, 1 terci-i bend, 6 kasides, 8 poems. Masnavi consists of 22 rubai, 11 syllabus and 3 verses. It consists of 794 couplets in total (Değirmençay 2001: 19). With this feature, it has the identity of a divanche. In his ghazals, Sultan Ahmed mostly used the pseudonyms Ahmed, but rarely Üveys, İbn Üveys, İbn Veys, Ahmed-i Veys, and once Ahmed bin Şeyh Üveys. The number of couplets in ghazals is mainly 9. There are also 5 and 7 couplets. There are many ghazals written in Remel, Müctes and Hezec Bahirs. In the ghazals, rhyming and amorous feelings were included, and the themes and concepts were not deviated from with tradition-bound discourses. The 6 odes in the Dîvân (Değirmençay 2001: 19) have the characteristics of ghazals rather than odes, both in form and theme, and they do not have the sections that should be included in a ode. The number of couplets of the odes varies between 12-18. Mesnevi. It is short and consists of 2 to 22 couplets. The poems in the Dîvân are written in an extremely plain, simple and understandable language. The work was published by Veyis Değirmençay (2001).
