Notes	The work containing the poems of Şa'bân-zâde Mehmed Efendi, pseudonymous Âzim. The work, which is in accordance with the classical divan order, includes 6 odes, 2 tahmis, 133 ghazals, 37 rubais, 4 of which are in Persian, 8 stanzas and 11 syllabus (Dönmez 1999: 18). The first two of the odes in the divan are naats written in praise of the Prophet; The third is the eulogy for Amca-zâde Hüseyin Pasha (d. 1114/ 1702), the fourth is for Şeyhülislâm Seyyid Feyzullah Efendi (d. 1115/ 1703), and the fifth and sixth are the eulogies for Râmî Mehmed Pasha (d. 1119/ 1708). The two tahmis following the odes were made for the ghazals of Nâbî (d. 1124/ 1712) and İsmetî (d. 1076/ 1665). Although the ghazals in the Dîvân are generally amorous and spiritual in nature, Sufi uses are also occasionally encountered in these poems (Dönmez 1999: 5). In general, a heavy language was used in the work, and the influence of Sebk-i Hindî and Hikemî styles can be seen in many poems (Dönmez 1999: 6-7).
