Notes	Commentary made by Mehmed Zihnî on some of the shawahid couplets in el-İsfehendî's Şerhü'l-Kâfiye. el-İsfehendî wrote a commentary on İbnü'l-Hâcib's el-Kâfiye, which he wrote about the nahve, and this commentary was published in Matbaa-i Âmire (1867), where Mehmed Zihnî worked as a proofreader. Mehmed Zihnî also annotated in Arabic the verses of Şevâhid that caught his attention in this commentary. It is stated in Ottoman Authors that the work is unconventional (Bursalı Mehmed Tahir 2016: 326). Ahmet Turan Arslan mentions that this commentary is a small-volume work completed in 1284/1867, but he does not specify any source for this information (Arslan 1999: 100).
