Notes
It is the second Dîvân of the Collection of Ahmed Ibn Veys, a scholar and poet ruler. Künûzu'l-Uşşâk consists of 1586 couplets and 8 lines. The Dîvân begins with Tevhid (18 couplets). This poem is followed by na't (9 couplets) and a tevhid (9 couplets) without a title. The ghazals are between the 4th and 151st poems. The title "Ghazaliyyât" does not appear at the beginning of these ghazals. The ghazals mostly consist of 7 and 9 couplets. There are also some with 4 and 14 couplets, albeit few. Among the 148 ghazals, pseudonyms were used in only 5 ghazals, the others are ghazals without a pseudonym. In the Dîvân, there are 6 short odes with a number of couplets of 15-26 under the title "Kasâ'id" and then 8 poems under the title "fi't-Tercî'". These are single stanzas, and the number of couplets varies between 8 (one), 9 (four), 11 (two) and 14 (one) couplets. Under the title of "Mesneviyyât" there are 5 short masnavis with couplet numbers of 5 and 6, and under the title of "Musammat" there are 2 musammat with couplet numbers of 15 and 16. In the Poet's Dîvân, there are 13 ghazals, 5 of which have three couplets and 8 of which have two couplets, under the title "el-Gazeliyyâtü'l-Mevkûfe". With these, the number of ghazals in the Dîvân becomes 161. There are a total of 3 more masnavis in the Dîvân, including one with two couplets and two mesnevi with seven, under the second title of "Mesneviyyât". Thus, the number of masnavis in Dîvân reaches 8. There are 10 stanzas ranging from 2 to 13 couplets under the title "Mukatta'ât". There are 13 rubais under the rubaiyat title in the Dîvân and 22 stanzas under the title "Curriculum". The Dîvân ends with 8 lines in verse. The Dîvân is written in a simple and understandable language, and the poems in it are In terms of subject matter, it is more amorous and passionate. Sadık Armutlu prepared a doctoral thesis on Dîvâ (1990). For the biography of the poet, see. “Ahmed İbn Veys, Gıyâseddîn Sultân Ahmed Bahadır, Mugîseddîn Sultân Ahmed”.
