Notes	17th century Mevlevi Sheikh İsmâîl Rüsûhî Efendi's translation treatise on the concept of sema in Mevlevi order. This Arabic treatise, in which the author defends the concepts of sema and devrân in Mevlevi order, is the same as that of Ahmed el-Gazzâlî (d. 1126). The content was written by making use of his work titled Bevârıku'l-İlmâ' fî-Tekfîri men-Yuharrimu's-Semâ'. Risâletü't-Tenzîhiyye was written as a response to the objections of the Cerrahî sheikh İbrahim bin Yûsuf, who was a contemporary of İsmâîl Rüsûhî Efendi, about the sema. In this work, the author responds to the objections of the Jarrahî sheikh, which he summarized in five articles, with three articles. All three articles evaluated by Rüsûhî Efendi were written using Gazzâlî's work in question. In the first article, Hz. In the second article, the issue of Aisha watching the war game performed by the Abyssinians, in the second article, the interpretation of the hadith about the concubines playing tambourines in an event organized in memory of the Battle of Buas, and in the third article, the issue of the Prophet watching the Abyssinian game in the mosque was evaluated. The author's claim in these articles is to reveal the evidence that the sema is permissible. With these three articles, Rüsûhî Efendi responds to the five-item objections of the Cerrahî sheikh (Ceyhan 2005: 210). The unique copy of Risâletü't-Tenzîhiyye is in the manuscript number 395 in the Nafiz Pasha Section of the Süleymaniye Library. 11-34. It is between the leaves.
