Notes Mehmed Nazîf's mesnevi in which he describes the abolition of the Janissary Corps. Emâre-i Zafer, which means Sign of Victory, is a masnavi of 235 couplets written in the aruz "fâ'ilâtün fâ'ilâtün fâ'ilâtün fâ'ilün" pattern. At the end of the work, there is a 9-couplet history-tacriz by Aynî, giving the date of writing of the work, that is, 1243/1827-28. The work, in which the abolition of the Janissary system is discussed under 28 headings, begins with a monotheism. Na't, four caliphs and Hz. It continues with the praise of Hasan and Hüseyin. The sultan of the period was II. Mahmud, Prince Abdülmecîd and some of the names of the period who contributed to the abolition of the Janissary system are praised. The cruelty of the Janissaries is mentioned. Meanwhile, a dream about the abolition of the Janissary system is narrated. Under the title "Der-Ka'ide-i Thankful", Sultan II. Mahmud is thanked for his services. After the prayer section, the work ends with Aynî's appreciation (Erdoğan 2009: 76-77). Janissary Corps II. It was abolished during the reign of Mahmud. However, there were other names who contributed to the abolition of the Janissary and were on duty at that time. In this respect, when Emâre-i Zafer is compared to Aynî's Nusretnâme, which is a poetic work written on the same subject, it is seen that much fewer people are mentioned in Emâre-i Zafer. II. Mahmud, Prince Abdülmecîd, Vizier Sırrı Selîm Pasha, Mufti Tâhir Efendi, Ser-asker Silah-dâr Ali, Treasury Kethuda Ser-çuka-dâr Bekir Ağa are the names mentioned and praised in the work. In addition, some unidentified persons are also mentioned. These are people from the public. Mehmed Nazîf tries to convey the feelings and thoughts of the people about the abolition of the Janissary system through these people. Among these, a deranged person who foretold that the Janissaries would be defeated and a pious woman who dreamed that the Janissaries would be abolished are noteworthy. A similar madness and a similar dream are encountered in Aynî's Nusretnâme. The work also tells the story of the sad events that happened to some people who were victimized by the Janissaries. A disobedient janissary who oppressed the people describes himself as a tyrant, loses his mind for fear of being executed, and commits suicide, crushed by the injustice he committed; It is shown as evidence that not only the people but even the janissaries were experiencing a crisis within themselves at that time and that this organization, whose individuals were problematic, had to be abolished (Erdoğan 2009: 77). There are two known copies of the work. One of them is Istanbul University. TY. No. In 2474, the other copy is in Taksim Atatürk Library. Waist. Yz. K.No. It is registered at 181. The work was published as an article by Mehtap Erdoğan in 2009. For the poet's biography, see. “Nazîf, Mehmed”.Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
