Notes .Copy of a commentary in Persian on hundred aphorisms attributed to each of the first four caliphs. In the third part (ff. 31b-43b), on the sayings of Uthmān, we find also an additional Turkish commentary in the text (from f. 34b). The margins of the fourth part (ff. 44b-56a), on the sayings of Alī, contain extensive Turkish translations, possibly written by the copyist of the main text. Rashīd ad-Dīn Muḥammad al-‘Umarī is known as Rashīd-i Waṭwāṭ (d. 578/1182) The copy was completed in the night of Friday 1 Muḥarrem 972 (9 August 1564, actually a Wednesday).
