.A fragment only of Ta’rikh Madinat Dimashq by Ibn 'Asajir (d. 571/1175), in the handwriting of the author's son al-Qasim b. 'Ali b. al-Hasan b. Hibat Allah. Another part of this copy by al-Qasim is kept in the Library of al-Gami' al-Azhar in Cairo..The present collection contains four agza': 277, 278, 279 and 280, with a few lacunae. An extensive survey of the contens by P.S. van Koningsveld (1974), pages 99-108.
