Pīr Meḥmed b. Evrenos b. Nūruddīn b. Fāris is known as eẓ-Ẓa‘īfī er-Rūmī el-Ma‘denī el-Ḳaratovavī el-Ḳosṭanṭinī (d. probably after 964/1556-7)
The original work is said to have been written in 962/1554-5 or 964/1556-7, but the chronogram in f. 150a:4 seems to suggest the year 947 (1540-1). This copy is undated..
