Notes Süleymaniye Manuscript Library Hagia Sophia Collection No. The facsimile of the copy in 3874 was made by Sultan III., who was a scholar, calligrapher and poet who knew Arabic and Persian well. Murat's (Reign, 1574-1595) poems are dominated by simple language and mystical diction. The reproduced copy is of a beauty befitting the content of the work, with its calligraphy and decorations.
