| Notes | Aristotle's logic collection, known as Organon and consisting of six books, was translated from the Pahlavi language into Arabic by Abdullah İbnü'l-Mukaffa. Categories (Categorias: Kitâbü'l-makulat). Fairy Hermeneias (Kitâbü'l-ibare). I. Porphyrius' Eisagoge (Isaguci) with the section of Analytics (Analytica priora: Kitâbü'l-kıyas) up to predicative syllogisms. Later, II, which constitutes the other parts of the Organon. Analytics (Analytica posteriora Kitâbü'l-burhan). In addition to works such as Topiks (Topica: Kitâbu Mevazı'i'l-cedel) and De Sophisticis elenchis (Kitâbü tebkiti's-sufista'iyyin), Aristotle's books named Rhetorica (Kitâbü'l-hatabe) and De poetica (Kitasü'ş-şi'r) were added to the Organon, according to a tradition inherited from Neoplatonism. It was translated into Arabic and thus the number of logic books increased to eight. |
